Amerika

Statue of LibertySome people consider America to be like Rome in its final days.  We are seeing the collapse of our economy and the erosion of all civil liberties and what are supposed to be unalienable rights.  Yet today every right that has been given to us by God Himself has been denied to the American people and repackaged only to be given back to us as rights coming from the government.  With this they give us fees, to exercise rights that our forefathers exercised without any restriction or permission from the government.  If we do not pay the fees and exercise our rights as still coming from God and not the state, we are fined.  If we still will not give up the antiquated ideas found in the constitution we will be imprisoned and our land taken away. Hatred of Scripture

American Christianity claims to embrace the truth of the gospel found in the written word of God.  It claims to walk in the light and teachings of the scriptures and boast of a love of the scripture and the author of the scriptures.  However, it is been my experience that Christians only love certain verses of scripture that support their doctrine of liking.  They do not embrace the whole counsel of God as they claim.

The word of God clearly teaches that though Jesus Christ we have forgiveness of sin.  This I can agree with my Christian brothers on.  But scripture also teaches that being justified by the blood of Christ we must live in the newness of the life in the Spirit or we have not been transformed by the Spirit.  This is where my Christian brothers and I part company.

They do not want to understand the following truths found in our scriptures. Continue reading

Most quoted books in the Bible… I & II Opinions

Being a blogger, I like to go to other Christian blogs and check out what they are saying.  As in the church so is the World Wide Web.  The church loves to talk about the grace of God, which is good.  We all have to start with the grace of God in order to be born of the Spirit.  What I find troubling is the kind of grace that the church is advocating.

The bloggers following the church say grace is grace sufficient to save everyone who calls on the name of the Lord.  They actually teach that Christians can not be like Christ.  That we really never do become new creations in Christ Jesus.  Instead they teach, that we still living in the flesh according to the sin nature, are covered by the grace of God, and for this reason we need to have passion to please God because we can never walk perfectly before the Lord.

I have tried to get others to discus scripture that says differently but I can not get anyone to talk of those verses.  They will tell me to get saved, that I am spiritually blind therefore can not understand the truths of scriptures.  I get references on good books to study, get told to go study this chapter or that chapter in the Bible, yet no one of them will address the verses I put forth. Our experiences and the revelation of who God is

Is God really good to us all the time?

It has been some time since I last posted.  It is not because I have given up the cause of defending The Gospel According to the Gospel, rather it is because life has been very difficult and I have been working very hard trying to make a change.

I would like to use the subject of the difficulties we have endured as a family as the springboard to understand God in relationship to hard times.  Many families have endured a lot of hardship as people have lost jobs, lost homes, seen 25% of their business income disappear and face bankruptcy.  Our story is no different. Changing the debate

Henry,

I do not know how much you read my blog, but I have been very desirous to converse specifically with you about things I see in scripture.  I wish to address your comments in a more formal manner than just another comment upon comment that sometimes gets overlooked.  Especially concerning such important fundamental truths about the hope held out to us in the gospel.  I hope my addresses to your comments will stir a lot of contemplation and a study of scripture by those who observe this conversation between brothers.

I wish to say, I like your summary of where the crux of the matter is for those who put their hope in Jesus Christ.  For this truly is the heart of the matter.

“So of course where we are at is that those who desire to be sheep need to take heed that they are not complacent lest they become a instead goat – or they are living as a goat whilst assuming that they are a sheep. I think this is the crux of the matter.”

Ironically this is just one way scripture points to the truth of what you are saying.  In other cases it speaks of fruit and trees, again in other places it comes out and plainly speaks of believing in vain or falling from grace, etc.  Sadly though one half of Christianity believes these truths are not for them, the other half is completely unaware of these truths.  Leaving only a small minority who understand the truth you elaborated on and who strive to live by it. Accountability to what gospel?

What gospel are we as believers accountable to?  Are we accountable to a gospel that teaches we, as those on the narrow path, are forever in God’s grace and are bound to forever be in the presence of Christ?  Which is not a teaching of Christ, for Christ Himself said that not all who have left the wide path will find themselves going through the narrow gate.  In fact, Christ tells those on the narrow path to make every effort to make it through the narrow gate.  Of course the words “strive” or “make every effort” will throw many into confusions or fits, because our salvation is not of any effort of our own.

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.[1]

Now I am with those who say our salvation has nothing to with us.  But only in this sense, God has done what we could not do to provide a way of salvation for mankind. Continue reading

Are you His?

Crown of Thorns

I really believe that there are two verses in scripture by which all mankind hangs in the balance.  These verses throw down for us a truth we either will reject or accept as worthy of our attention.  These verses set the tone for the authority of God’s word and why we need to take head.  These verses are Hebrews 1:1-2.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;[1]

I believe the world has become harder and harder to evangelize because the world is less and less accepting that God has spoken.  Those who hate God have played the church for fools.  While we have been asleep at the wheel, they have used our schools and higher education against us and destroyed the testimony that God has spoken.  We have let the world dictate to us their religion of evolution while we have a smaller and smaller voice in society.

And to this, some “believers” do not know that we should grieve, because they are to busy trying to manipulate scripture with the unproven theory of evolution.  They have proven they do not really believe that God has spoken, when their first love is a man made faith that rules supreme, and by which the word of God needs to be interpreted by.  These men have more confidence in the rearranged pile of bones, manipulation of data and the blatant cover up of the mountain of proofs for a young earth and intelligent design.  These believers are like those who consulted other gods and then say let us go to inquire of the Lord.  These “Christian” men have put stumbling blocks before others who would seek to know God’s word and have destroyed the faith of many.

But alas these are not the only offenses we have made against God who has spoken.  We have entangled the word of God so cleverly and almost undetected with psychology that “believers” actually believe this wisdom of man is the spoken word of God.  Yet we will never find this self help, motivational message in the word of God.  We may pervert and twist it to make it says this, but we will not find those sermons in scripture.  They are not there.  But “believers” faithfully preach it and believe it.  These “Christian” men have put a stumbling stone in front of those who would have put their faith in God’s spoken word.

We have done more than plant a seed for increase, we have planted a spawn of Satan.  We have left the spoken word of God and gone off to serve other spoken words.  God’s word in the church is at its twilight and almost set.  The last day apostasy is almost complete.  We have almost completely replaced His word for another.

We His bride have put idols before Him and His word.  We do this and yet think we go to Him with clean hands and hearts.  We think we can go and give Him acceptable praise.  But how does the Lord God who has spoken to us by the prophets and His Son view these “believers”.

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself: And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.[2]

If perhaps this spoken word of God though the prophet has managed to reach heart, then repent.  If you have been convicted to give God’s word first place in your life and not some latest Christian book, repent so the Lord may refresh you.

Remember Christ died for you.  He sacrificed Himself in beatings, severe whippings and the cross for you.  This was spoken of by the prophets.  Are you going to let such a salvation slip beyond you because you pursue stumbling stones and not the word of God in your lives?  Remember His sacrifice for His bride.  If you are His bride, He will know you are His because you are spotless and blameless.  He will know you because He will see His Spirit in you as you walk not according to the flesh.  He will know you are His bride when He sees you walking according to His spoken word alone.
